Collaborative performance, coachings, and private piano lessons in Calgary, Alberta
Dr. Elizabeth Clarke is active as a performer, collaborator, and teacher. She holds a DMA in piano performance and an MM in music theory from Michigan State University, as well as piano performance degrees from the University of Victoria and University of Alberta, Augustana Campus. Her primary teachers were Panayis Lyras, Arthur Rowe, and Milton Schlosser.
Dr. Clarke has performed numerous solo and collaborative recitals in Canada and the United States, and in 2014 was featured as a concerto soloist with the University of Victoria orchestra. She has also worked as a collaborative pianist for singers and instrumentalists of all skill levels, and has extensive experience as a church music director and choir accompanist.
An experienced teacher, Dr. Clarke has held teaching and teaching assistant positions at Ambrose University (Calgary, AB), Bradley University (Peoria, IL), Michigan State University, and the University of Victoria. She also maintains a full private studio at Calgary Music Academy.

Learning music is a process that requires patience and discipline. It can be a formidable challenge, but for those who are willing to work, the rewards are very great. I especially love to work with students who are curious, dedicated to regular practicing, and committed to long-term goals.
What I expect from you:
Regular attendance at lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes per week)
Daily practice at home, with parental supervision as required
A supportive, non-competitive attitude towards other students
A growth mindset, focused on incremental progress over time
What you can expect from me:
Personalized lessons for students ages 7 and up
Thorough preparation for RCM exams and local festivals
Regular performance opportunities through monthly masterclasses
Optional additional performance opportunities through CMAC performance outreach program
A focus on growth and overall musicianship
Patience, good humour, and encouragement as we work to achieve our goals
PERSONALIZED WEDDING MUSIC
All around the world, people mark special events with music. Music has the power to lift our spirits, comfort us, and help us feel emotions we can't put into words. It can tell a story, draw people together, and bring back memories of your special day for years to come. It is my joy and privilege to help you create the perfect sound for your perfect day.
My standard wedding package is $250 and includes:
20 minutes of prelude music
Processional music for bridesmaids and bride
Background music during the signing of the register
Recessional music for wedding party
Attendance at your rehearsal
Supplied keyboard if necessary
Optional add-ons (price negotiable):
Longer prelude music
Additional ceremony music (hymns etc.)
Background music for cocktail hour etc.
Travel outside the Calgary area (Banff etc.)
Not planning a wedding? I am also available for:
Background music (receptions, dinners, etc.)
Memorial services and funerals
Piano accompaniment (vocal and instrumental)
